To add an XY plot:
To add an XY plot to your app, log into MATHTAB. Navigate to your app from myApps page. Click on the Edit button. This will open your app in the app editor.
Click on the respective table tab in which you want to build the chart (e.g. Table 1). This will display the table menu in the toolbar section of the app editor.
To add an XY plot, click on the add button (with + symbol) next to XY Plot on the toolbar.
A table must exist in order to add the data to the XY plot.
This will launch the XY Chart Properties form as shown in following figure.
Select the chart type from the drop-down menu.
Click on the Add Series button to add the number of columns you want in the chart.
To remove a series, check the box in front of it and press the Remove Series button.
Select the required data for each series such as data for the X axis and Y axis. You can always change this information later. To create the chart, press the Ok button.
The chart will be created in the User Interface tab.
To modify the XY plot:
To modify the chart properties, double-click on the chart element. The following Properties window will appear.
From the Properties window, you can perform the following tasks.
To delete the XY plot:
- Modify the x-y location on the user interface
- Change the chart width and height
- Locate the X and/or Y axis start point based on the data (by default the X and Y axis start at 0, 0 when the boxes are checked)
- Add a series
- Remove a series
- Change the chart type (e.g. from vertical bars to stacked line format)
- Modify a series name
- Delete the chart
You can delete an XY plot by clicking the Delete button on the Properties window.
You must save
the app by pressing the Save button next to the Edit Mode button.
